The majority of Loraine's qualified years have been spent working in oncology, malignant and non malignant haematology and bone marrow transplantation in hospitals in the south of England and the North West. Loraine joined the University 10 years ago. She was a founder member and Chair of the North West Haematology Nurses Group.
Currently she works a split week two days in the University and three days in clinical practice as a clinical nurse specialist in malignant and non-malignant haematology.

Loraine's main areas of interest are supportive care in haematological conditions and developing patient focused nurse led clinics within haematology.
