Before taking up a lecturing role at the university, Jonathan worked with disability support supporting visually impaired Computing students.

Jonathan’s primary areas of teaching are in programming, networking, and web development.

Jonathan’s research interests include virtual reality, HCI, and accessibility.

Jonathan is a STEM ambassador and is keenly involved in outreach activities such as Lancashire Science Festival.

Jonathan began a Ph.D. in Computing on the topic of Interactions in Virtual Reality in 2017. Expected completion 2022.

Before taking up a lecturing role at the university, Jonathan worked with disability support supporting visually impaired Computing students.

He is heavily involved in first year teaching; supporting students in their transition to university

Teaching Activities and Responsibilities

Jonathan teaches on the undergraduate Computing courses, is module leader for CO3708, and also supervises final year projects.

Jonathan is currently undertaking research in interactions in Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality
