Fiona teaches broadcast journalism. She is an accomplished journalist with 18 years experience working for the BBC. She worked in radio for several years, reporting, presenting and producing before moving to television news to report and produce. She spent 8 years producing the BBC Regional News programme NorthWest Tonight, winning two Royal Television Society Awards. As a BBC manager, she was responsible for upholding editorial standards and coaching journalists.

Fiona teaches broadcast journalism, specialising in television news . She is an accomplished journalist with 18 years experience working for the BBC. She worked in radio for several years, reporting, presenting and producing before moving to television news to report and produce. She spent eight years producing the BBC Regional News programme NorthWest Tonight, winning two Royal Television Society Awards. As a BBC manager, she was responsible for upholding editorial standards, commissioning stories and coaching journalists. In addition to working for UCLan, Fiona works as a freelance trainer for the BBC Academy, training journalists at the corporation.

Fiona teaches undergraduates and postgraduates radio and television skills.
