Fergal is currently course leader for the Coronary Care courses, the MSc Nursing full-time route, the Diploma in Higher Education in Acute and Critical Care Nursing (International) and the Overseas Nurses Programme (ONP). He contributes his expertise to other critical care modules as appropriate. Fergal's areas of interest are coronary care nursing, heart failure and research.
Fergal is an active member of the North West Heart Failure Forum, the East Lancashire CHD Collaborative: Heart Failure Working Group and is a Modernisation Agency Discovery Interview Project interviewer. Fergal has registered for a PhD and his current research interests are in relation to patient and carers’ experience of chronic heart disease.
