Eduardo joined UCLan in September 2014 as Lecturer in Hispanic Studies after three years of lecturing at Maynooth University (Ireland). He has a PhD in Contemporary Spanish Literature from the University of St. Andrews (2011), and graduated in Filología Hispánica from Universidad de Valladolid in 2006. He has also taught Spanish language and literature at the University of St Andrews, as well as Spanish literature at the University of Oxford.

Teaching Activities and Responsibilities:  

Eduardo teaches Spanish Language, Literature and Culture, as well as Translation Studies. He is also an undergraduate and PhD supervisor.

Research

Eduardo's research interests lie mainly within the area of Contemporary Spanish Studies. He has conducted research into the literature, culture and history of the Spanish Civil War and the Republican Exile of 1939. Particularly the poetry of the Second Generation of the Republican exile in Mexico. Further to this, Eduardo also has a developing interest in the area of Contemporary Spanish Flash Fiction.
