Barbara is research active within the area of business and management and is a member of the Institute for Research into Organisations, Work and Employment.
Barbara joined the University in September 2011. She has previously worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Essex. Barbara got her PhD in Applied Social and Economic Research, looking at factors triggering conflict within and between professions, and determinants of career success.
Barbara’s main research interests are career success, social networks, labour-market and social stratification, determinants of performance and performance measurement, and intra and inter-professional conflict. Her research is mainly based on quantitative methods and longitudinal analysis.
Barbara currently teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate courses including Research Methods, Management & Organizations, Behaviour in Organizations and Quantitative Research Methods.
