Dr Abhay Vaidya has nearly 30 years of experience in teaching medical undergraduates, postgraduates as well as other allied healthcare professionals in the UK and overseas. Dr Vaidya has also been an examiner for the UK undergraduate and postgraduate medical examinations. Amongst other things, he has been a GMC Associate since 2005 and has several publications in peer reviewed journals to his credit.

Full Profile

Dr Vaidya studied medicine in the Goa Medical College, one of the oldest medical schools in India. He practised as a consultant anaesthetist in India, the Gulf and the UK. Throughout his career, Dr Vaidya has been actively involved in the training and teaching of medical as well as allied healthcare workers.

Over these years, Dr Vaidya has held several teaching and non teaching posts. Since 2005, he has been a General Medical Council (GMC) associate and is currently member of the GMC’s Registration Appeals Panel. He is also a member of the Court of Examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons of England for ICMRCS Examinations in the UK and overseas.
