Donna joined UCLan in January 2017 as a full-time Lecturer in Health and Social Care. She contributes to teaching on the BSc Health and Social Care, Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care, Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (Assistant Practitioner Pathway) and the Foundation Entry to Health and Social Care. Donna is a registered nurse (adult branch) having worked in the NHS for many years gaining a wide range of experience in the areas of gynaecology, sexual health and general surgery. 

Donna is a member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Donna has worked in NHS services since July 2000 in healthcare support roles, In 2009 she graduated from UCLan having completed a Diploma HE Adult Nursing. Having worked in a combination of settings including community, general surgery, medicine and genito-urinary medicine (GUM. Her most recent role was as a clinical educator within an NHS trust. Donna went on to complete a BSc (Hons) in Sexual Health Practice.

Donna was asked to guest lecturer from 2014 at UCLan as an adhoc lecturer on the family planning and reproductive healthcare module and on the BSc (Hons) Sexual Health Practice. Donna commenced as a full time member of the health and social care team in January 2017 where she teaches and supports students across, BSc Health and Social Care, Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care, Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care (Assistant Practitioner Pathway) and the Foundation Entry to Health and Social Care in addition to contributing to the pre and post-registration Nursing and Midwifery pathways.
