Full Profile

Christine qualified as a Pharmacist in 1995. She has worked for short times in Hospital Pharmacy including private, NHS and outpatient Pharmacies but most of her career has been spent in Community Pharmacy. She was a member of Central Lancashire LPC for 8 years until its merger with East Lancashire LPC. She was seconded one day per week to UCLAN as a Lloyds Pharmacy Teacher Practitioner between 2010 and 2013. Christine returned to UCLAN as a Teacher Practitioner two days per week in 2014.

Christine is also employed by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals as a Care Home Support Pharmacist. She started the role in 2015 with a newly established team whose remit is to visit Care Homes and offer guidance and support to the staff and residents. Christine was invited to speak at a Royal Pharmaceutical Society & Royal College of Nursing conference in December 2015 discussing Nurses and Pharmacists working together for Care Home Residents.

Teaching Activities

Christine is involved in teaching Pharmacy Practice across all undergraduate years. This is mainly focused on the practical skills of Pharmacy including communication skills, law and ethics and providing Pharmaceutical services.
