Chris Shaw is a senior lecturer in the Division of Communication, Marketing and Public Relations, part of the School of Business at UCLan. He is module leader across full time and part time undergraduate programmes. A full-time lecturer since 2007, Chris was a journalist for 10 years and then spent eight years in PR roles with the Lawn Tennis Association, Manchester Airport and the Riverside Group, a housing association.

Full Profile

Chris has a special interest in employability. He leads a series of modules which are intended to prepare students for the workplace after their graduation. As well as supervising students on their industrial placements, he is responsible for teaching live student projects in which final year student work for clients in PR and marketing areas.

In addition, Chris has worked on a number of projects with external businesses to enhance their PR efforts and he has taught communication and marketing in Eastern Europe, China and Hong Kong.
