Andy retired from Lancashire Constabulary in 2006 in the rank of Detective Chief Inspector. The last six years of his service were spent in the Major Investigation Team, primarily involved in the investigation of homicide. Most of his career has been devoted to criminal investigation, with spells in criminal intelligence, and secondments to the Regional Crime Squad. During his police service he studied part time at the University, obtaining a Master's degree in Business Administration.

Full Profile

Since his arrival at Uclan, Andy has been engaged in teaching on the BSc Policing and Criminal Investigation course. Alongside other teaching staff he has also developed the MSc Criminal Investigation course, in respect of which he is the current course leader. His research interests lie in the field of homicide investigation and human trafficking.
