Alice completed her BSc (Hons) Psychology at Durham University before completing her MSc Psychology of Child Development at UCLan. Alice was awarded the Dean’s Award of Excellence for Best Overall Finalist. Alice returned to UCLan in April 2016 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and to undertake a PhD in childhood loneliness.

Teaching activities and responsibilities 

Alice contributes to the teaching across a wide variety of undergraduate Psychology modules within the School.

Research Activities

Alice’s PhD focuses on childhood loneliness and utilising a social cognition intervention to help reduce the impact of loneliness on children’s mental and physical well-being.

Alice has also worked in other research areas including social anxiety and interpersonal behaviour.
