Courses

Waste management is an important and fast moving industry, vital to any nation's health, environment and economic wellbeing. Our courses have been developed in close consultation with professional bodies within the waste industry, and seeks to meet their current and future needs. Courses are flexible so full-time students have a relatively rapid expansion of their knowledge base, while the part time route lets those students employed within waste related industries augment practical knowledge with academic study.

Business Support

Following on from the success of the European Regional Development funded (ERDF) CWM project the Centre for Waste Management has been awarded a further £1.3 million of ERDF funding to provide resource efficiency and environmental technology support to Small to Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the North West. One of the main priorities of the new NW-CWM project is to work closely with businesses to drive and contribute to research and development opportunity and capability for waste / environmental technologies.
