Junior University

Information for Parents

UCLan’s Junior University aims to increase your child's knowledge and awareness of higher education, and support the advice given to them in school, college or sixth form.

We hope that by taking part in UCLan’s Junior University programme your child will:

  • Be inspired and raise their ambition
  • Achieve the best possible GCSE/A level grades with our support
  • Be more aware of the range of opportunities offered by further and higher education
  • Develop as a young person and improve their self-esteem, motivation, confidence and determination
  • Get through the minefield of information and understand the process of applying to college and university
  • Receive support and encouragement from our dedicated JU Ambassadors
  • Have a smooth progression from school to college and beyond
