The School enjoys excellent facilities, including a well-equipped physical learning environment, with teaching and open access computer facilities. Students are able to benefit from small study rooms in the library or to access books and online resources to support their study. Lecture theatres, smaller seminar rooms and individual tutor’s rooms provide a range of learning contexts available for teaching and learning.
Work-based learning is a key focus for the School. Practice Learning is an integral part of the BA and MA in Social Work degree courses whilst other courses offer opportunities for structured work experience, volunteering and other contact with a wide range of social care agencies in the community.
