The BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science degree has enjoyed accreditation by the Institute of Biomedical Science for over 10 years. Our course delivery enables you to experience a wide range of topics, setting you up for a range of career aspirations, including NHS laboratories, research or graduate entry Medicine and Dentistry.
Our BSc (Hons) Healthcare Science degree is officially part of the Practitioner Training Programme (PTP) for the NHS. The course is accredited/approved by the Health and Care Professions Council, the Institute of Biomedical Science and the National School of Healthcare Science as part of Health Education England. You’ll have guaranteed work placements in an NHS unit.
On the BSc (Hons) Physiology and Pharmacology degree you’ll gain a sound understanding of how drugs and medicines can have a positive effect on the body and how harmful reactions to pharmaceuticals can arise. As our bioscience courses share common first year modules, you’ll have the flexibility to transfer between related programmes at the end of the first year; while the range of elective modules available allows you to tailor this degree to suit your interests.
