UCLan’s Medicine (MBBS) programme offers an innovative approach to medical education. Taught in state-of the-art facilities, the course has been designed primarily for international (non-EU) students and is currently undergoing General Medical Council quality assurance.
At UCLan’s School of Medicine we aim to develop students who are ready to practise medicine safely and compassionately. We provide a strong core of biomedical knowledge and clinical skills to prepare you for the demands of a rapidly changing global health environment. Clinical placements feature strongly throughout the duration of the programme starting from Year 1.
“I really like the fact that all the teaching groups are small because it means all the professors actually get to know us and we get one to one attention. All the professors know our names and that isn’t something you expect to have at any other university.”
Shagoon Modi, India and Bangladesh
“The fact that we are a small group is really nice. We have direct interaction with our lecturers and we know our classmates well. This is a really interesting program where, from the beginning, students have patient interaction and learn clinical skills.”
Alexis Adam, Mauritius
“I want to have the best possible medical education. The course and personal attention you get is unique at UCLan. It’s geared towards international students.”
Kay Le-Roux, South Africa
