Economics research

The economics research cluster provides the focus for a broad range of research projects with relation to the analysis of economic phenomena.

The group has particular strengths in macroeconomic policy, international (particularly European) economics, heterodox economic theoretical perspectives and the micro-foundations of economic activity.

Many members within the cluster are additionally members of the Institute for International Business (IIB).

Our research partners and financial sponsors include many private and public sector organisations (DTI, DWP, EU, International Telecommunications Union, United Nations, World Bank, ESRC).  Members of the group act as economic advisors to the Forum for Private Business and Global Britain.
