UCLan’s Language Academy offer professional English language teaching, testing and support.
Our aim is to support the International community to aspire, advance and achieve through their learning of the English Language. Many of whom choose to progress onto University degree programmes at UCLan.
Supported by fully qualified and experienced academic members of staff, students will be provided with the knowledge and skill set to achieve on their specific course. You can also expect to have full access to the University’s Student Support Services to ensure a warm welcome and support during your studies.
Based in Preston (North West of England), you can combine your learning at a modern University UK campus while experiencing the cultural diversity of city life. With easy access to Manchester, Liverpool and the Lake District, you can test your new found English skills while exploring the very best parts of the country.
UCLan successfully renewed its accreditation to the British Council in December 2015 to ensure its provision to teaching English Language to non-native speakers. The 24-hour library is one of the North West’s most impressive learning facilities and the Worldwise Centre is dedicated to promoting world languages and culture, with international media resources and the space to socialise.
The Students’ Union is on-hand to provide advice to students and has over a hundred societies to get involved with. Events and cultural festivals are hosted throughout the year.
Located in the heart of Lancashire, Preston is a lively and diverse student city with plenty of culture and events to keep you entertained outside of the classroom. Both Preston and UCLan are environmentally friendly, with the city being awarded Green Flag status and 92% of UCLan’s electricity coming from renewable energy sources.
