IKSU and UCLan have established a network of cooperation with strategic partner institutions in South Korea. International partnerships allow IKSU students to make the most of their studies, experiencing life and culture in South Korea. At the same time, Korean students are welcome in the UK, to spend a semester or summer abroad.
The origins of Ewha go back to 1888 and it has developed as a hub for women’s education and as one of South Korea’s premier universities. King Kojong gave the school its name in 1887, and “Ewha” means “Pear Blossoms.” Ewha has 22,000 students and its mission is to provide a global hub for high quality education and research. The Ewha campus in Seoul is notable for its cutting edge architecture.
UCLan has a formal exchange relationship with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS), which was founded in 1954 and teaches 45 foreign languages as well as the humanities, law, social sciences, business, and computer science. In the 2010 QS University Rankings HUFS ranked top Korean University for the subject of Globalisation.
Sookmyung Women’s University is based in Seoul and was established in 1906. Its name originates from ancient characters with meaning ‘clear’ and ‘bright’. The University’s motto is to ‘save our nation through women’s education’. Sookmyung Women’s University has over 100,000 alumni and 13,000 students.
The origins of Kyunghee University go back to 1949. Since its founding, the University has pursued the Kyung Hee Spirit of “Scholarship and Peace” as well as the founding principle of “creating a civilized world.” In 1993 the University received the UNESCO Prize for Peace Education. UCLan has a formal exchange relationship.

Inje University is an educational institution intertwined with Paik Hospital, the first civil non-profit organization of its kind in Korea. The Korean motto of Inje University "Insuljese·Indukjese", signifies 'With the healing art, save the world' and 'With the compassion and virtue, save the world. ' Inje has 8 Colleges, 15 Schools, and 29 Departments dedicated to undergraduate studies. The Graduate and Professional Schools include: Business, Social Welfare, Education, Public Health. The School Site extends over 71.07 acres (287,603m2), occupied by the "Indanggwan" (main building) and 21 Other Buildings.

Pusan National University (PNU) is one of the top ten Korean national universities and a leading university in South Korea. It is located mainly in Pusan, South Korea’s second largest city, and surrounding areas. PNU has been constantly ranked among one of top 500 world universities by ARWU World University Ranking and QS Top Universities Ranking between 2009 and 2011. In QS Top Universities Ranking 2010, Pusan National University ranked among the top five in social sciences and management, sixth in engineering and technology, and sixth in life science and medicine. Together with Inje University, PNU offers and excellent destination for UCLan students looking to spend quality academic time in South Korea.
