Development of Innovative Small Wind Turbine Technologies

The IsWindTech project is funded by the ERDF to offer free impartial advice and assistance to small businesses (including farms) based in the northwest who are considering wind turbine technology. The project is part of the University of Central Lancashire and benefits from the expertise of the Wind Energy Engineering Research Group. Made up of engineers, researchers and support staff, the project team are well equipped to advise on small wind turbine technologies.

FREE comprehensive and impartial feasibility studies are available to businesses in the northwest considering a wind turbine. We can advise on planning issues, wind energy potential, wind turbine specifications and grid connection.

IsWindTech Roadshows are also regularly held across the northwest region aimed at providing information to people wanting to know more about the project and wind technology in general. Expert speakers present on topics such as planning, financing a renewable energy project and wind turbine technologies.
