Teacher training

Teaching is a challenging but rewarding profession, one where you will use your enthusiasm and talents to really make a difference to your students’ lives. Our courses will equip you to educate and influence your learners and help them fulfil their potential.

The UCLan Teacher Education Partnership offers you the exciting opportunity to study in one of 10 colleges across the North West region and gain a PGCE or Certificate in Education for the 14+ age group. You can study full or part time and we also offer shorter certificate and ‘taster’ courses.

"It’s good to have been able to share experiences in class with other trainee teachers who teach different subjects in different placements."

The PGCE is for honours graduates and the CertEd is for applicants who have a level 3 qualification in their subject.
