Safety, Health and Environment Committees and Forums

Committee meeting frequency and preparation

Three Safety, Health and Environment Committee meetings will be held / yr (approx. once every four months).

The Secretariat will invite agenda item three weeks in advance of the Committee meeting.

The Secretariat will circulate an agenda, including a copy of any relevant papers and the previous meetings minutes, at least 1 week before the next meeting. Only papers listed as agenda items and submitted in advance for circulation, will be accepted by the Chair.

Committee Membership

To keep the total size of the Committee as compact as possible, though ensuring adequate representation, the following membership is adopted:

Chair: Executive Director of Operations - Michael Ahern

Administrator: Facilities Management - Karen Herd

One representative from each School/Service.

Two Safety Representatives from each recognised Trade Union (6)

Ex officio advisors - Safety, Health and Environmental Section, Radiation Protection Officer
