The students, from UCLan’s School of Journalism and Digital Communication, were able to discuss key media issues of the day with Daily Telegraph executive editor Mark Skipworth and Independent editor-in-chief Chris Blackhurst.

“It is a rare privilege for outsiders to get access to these institutions. It was a fascination insight for the students and helped forge essential links the university and the industry at the highest level.”

Senior lecturer Michael Williams, who led the trip, said:  “It is a rare privilege for outsiders to get access to these institutions. It was a fascinating insight for the students and helped forge essential links the university and the industry at the highest level.”
