LBS academics recognised for teaching quality

Lancashire Business School staff members have been awarded for providing outstanding experience for their students

In the second year of the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, two lecturers from the Lancashire Business School have been recognised for creating ground-breaking experience for students.

Winners (pictured with the Dean of School Dharma Kovvuri) have received certificates and a set amount of money to support their personal and professional development during the academic year 2012/2013.

MBA Programme Leader, Dorota Marsh received an ‘Excellence in Teaching Delivery and Intellectual Stimulation of Students’ award.

The panel also recognised and awarded the School’s Student Support and Achievement team for ‘Creation of a Superlative Student Experience Overall (team award).’

Dawn Parr, student support officer, said: “We are delighted to receive this award. The team has worked hard over the last year supporting home/EU and international students.”

She added: “Our team would like to be recognised not only for providing support for students who need it, but also for the students who aspire to continually improve academically.”
