28 February 2018

Event will showcase best practice in technology enabled learning

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is hosting a free event which will explore how future enhancements in technology enabled learning and teaching can benefit the education sector.

Transformational Technologies for Learning and Teaching is being held in partnership with Microsoft and Office 365, and will include practical seminars, keynote speakers and breakout sessions.

It takes place on March 28 between 10am and 4.15pm at the University’s Harrington Building on the Preston Campus.

UCLan is encouraging educators and IT professionals within the education sector, in addition to businesses with relevant relationships, to attend the event for an insight into the latest ideas and opportunities available to support key learning objectives.

James Crooks, Director of Learning and Information Services at UCLan, said: “This is set to be a fantastic day of sharing ideas, learning and best practice, in celebration of the University’s recent initiatives with Microsoft to enhance learning environments and academic development.

“These initiatives have resulted in the roll-out of Surface devices to all 1,500 members of our academic teaching community, which reflects how significant a part Microsoft’s technology plays in our strategic learning and teaching ambitions.”
