Today our Preston Campus lies immediately to the north of the centre of Preston and covers an area of approximately 15 hectares with 63 buildings and 138,000m² of gross floor area.
The campus estate contains a wide variety of buildings, all constructed during a time period which spans over 100 years. These range from the Victorian-style Harris Building and the former St Peter’s Church (grade 2 listed) Arts Centre, to the functional 1960s-style of the Foster building up to the more contemporary Media Factory and clean lines of the JB Firth building. Collectively our campus estate creates an eclectic and highly visible built environment, although it also creates challenges in terms of a coherent identity, especially on arrival.
