Bev LeedsBeverly Leeds

Project Manager
 
 Beverly Leeds is a Principal Lecturer in Marketing in Lancashire Business School. She has been using e-learning in her teaching for the past five years and successfully implemented both blended learning and pure e-learning modules supported by Web-CT. She is the course leader for a number of modules that are delivered by blended learning as well as a completely online course for the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is currently the project manager for E-Evolve, an FDTL5 project and an HE Academy funded research project into online support for work placements. She has developed a model for the development of Re-usable Learning Objects that allows rapid creation of e-learning materials from a variety of sources. Her pedagogic research involves the use of storytelling, e-learning and employability. Her other research areas include trust in computer mediated environments, perceptions of time in e-working/e-marketing and the use of ICT to support CRM. Beverly has over 12 years experience in Higher Education and 16 years experience in the IT industry as a consultant and project manager.

Caroline HollidayCaroline Holliday

Evaluator and Content Advisor
 
 Caroline Holliday is a Marketing Lecturer in Lancashire Business School and teaches business and marketing subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students. She is also the Course Leader for all of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) programmes. Outside of the University, she works as a freelance marketing and business consultant and has worked with an independent primary school, a charity and small businesses.  She also works with a North West magazine developing the sales and marketing side of the business.  Her hobbies and interests include spending time with her two children, going to the gym and supporting her local football team, Wigan Athletic FC.

Jeanne HillJeanne Hill

Evaluator & Content Advisor
 
Jeanne Hill is a Principal Lecturer in Marketing in Lancashire Business School as well as Academic Enhancement Project Manager for the university’s Learning Development Unit. She has been using Web-CT and Breeze/Adobe Connect technology for a number of years both in delivering modules and on-line tutorials and also in managing projects. A particular interest is in the use of marketing research to uncover and analyse customer experiences and expectations for use in strategic marketing planning and implementation, including the management of long-term meaningful emotional relationships with customers.

Peter ClarePeter Clare

E-Learning Advisor & Evaluator

Peter Clare is a Principal Lecturer in Information Systems (IS) in Lancashire Business School. He has been developing and delivering e-learning experiences for over 15 years. Peter was first involved in e-learning (though the term was not used at that time) during the 1980's whilst working as a Consultant Systems Analyst in Business. Development of bespoke Information Systems involved the provision of online training and help systems. An interest in education generated through these activities resulted in a move into H.E. Delivering modules in IS, partially through software packages has always involved included elements of e-learning, these e-learning elements have expanded rapidly over the past 5 years to become the dominant experience in many modules. Peter has over 30 years experience in Information Systems and Higher Education and a PhD in Biology.

Barrie RobersBarrie Roberts

E-Learning Technician
 
 Barrie Roberts is the E-Learning Facilitator for Lancashire Business School; he previously worked for 14 years supporting academic learning technologies within technical services of Lancashire Business School. Prior to this he worked as an engineer in small computer companies, working on hardware and software related issues. Whilst being employed in technical services he studied and completed a degree in Web and Multimedia. During his studies he developed a keen interest in the use of e-learning as a medium for education. Since, his appointment as E-Learning Facilitator he has supported many academic staff developing e-learning materials and has developed several Learning Modules for staff and students related to the technological and software infrastructure of e-learning. He has a strong interest in taking these developments further for use in the FE and HE education sector. Currently Barrie is following an interest in Web 2.0 tools to support e-learning.
