ISCRI Seminar Series
PERSPECTIVES ON WELLBEING SEMINAR
The Psychosocial Research Unit (PRU) are organising a series of seminars with the following aims:
- Facilitate cross-school dialogue around wellbeing
- Discuss the different ways this topic is approached: philosophical, psychosocial, psychological, socio-cultural and also in terms of empirical research and social policy and provision
- Identify specific interest and familiarise ourselves with each other’s work within the theme
- Identify areas and opportunities for collaboration
- Develop the conceptual and theoretical resources for research and scholarship on wellbeing
- Develop a distinctive narrative to profile work within this area
- Support colleagues bidding for research or community engagement funds in the areas of wellbeing related policy and practice
ISCRI contacts within and outside of UCLan are welcome to attend the seminars.
Next Seminar 14th December 3:00 – 5:00pm
The next seminar will be co-presented by Alan Farrier and Mark Dooris. Title and abstract will follow shortly.
