Green Week is an annual event to engage staff and students, encouraging participation in green initiatives at UCLan and launch new environmentally focused projects.

All Week
All activities will be centred around the Yurt - located in the piazza between SU and library. Come visit us for information, advice, films, freebies, tips and more.... helping you reduce your carbon footprint and save money.
- Free Rickshaw rides all week across campus

- Scary Jumper Competition Be at the cutting edge of fashion whilst on the front line of energy saving in your office! - Pedal your way to a bowl of steaming winter soup (Pennine Events 11am - 3pm)
- FREE Cyclist's Breakfast Pick up your voucher at Foster Refectory between 8:15 - 9:45am
- Free bike checks with Dr Bike (Pennine Events 11am - 3pm)
- Security Bike Coding (11am - 2pm)
- Guided Green Walks Meet in the Piazza at 12pm and 2pm

Water-Wise Wednesday
- Visit the Big Toilet Find out what not to flush
- Water Self-Audits Check your water consumption and Save-a-flushes which save 1.2 litres per flush (in non-dual flush toilets)
- Collect a Shower Timer
Tasty Treats Thursday
Farmers Market in the Atrium (10am - 3pm) Cupcakes, chocolates, fudge & other goodies; Exotic burgers; Pies, pastries & ready meals; Lancashire Food; Jams, relishes & preserves; Natural beauty products - Lancashire Wildlife Trust Advice on growing your own
- Turn your Old Cups into Free Grub Free seed (chilli, tomato) and compost available in the piazza 11am - 2pm. Bring along your old coffee cups and other receptacles
- Fruit Tree Planting at 2pm with pupils from English St Martyrs Primary School (rear of Greenbank)
- PLUS lots of information on ethical, organic and vegetarian food, recipe cards, advice on healthy eating etc
Free-Your Bin Friday

- Turn your Old Cups into Free Grub - Free seed (chilli, tomato) and compost available in the piazza 10:30am - 12:30pm. Bring along your old coffee cups and other receptacles
- Visit the University Artist in residence's exhibition (as part of the Beauiful Dystopia project) in Harris Foyer (continues until 5 March)
- See how much plastic and paper waste is produced on campus in one day
