Thinking of Applying?

There are several different ways to apply to become a student at UCLan. The mode of study you are intending to follow determines the way in which you apply. It is important that you use the correct process to ensure your application progresses as smoothly as possible. Please see the information below for details of how to apply.

UCAS ( Full-Time Undergraduate)

UCAS has a secure online application system, called Apply, designed not only for students applying at school and college, but also for independent applicants (UK and international).  If you are not at school or college, go to www.ucas.com and click on Apply.  Forms can be submitted from 1 September, with a closing date of 15 January for the majority of courses. While we will still consider applications received after this date, it is possible that places on your chosen course may have filled, therefore we encourage you to apply before 15 January. When applying please make sure that you use the correct UCAS code for your course.  UCLan’s institution code is CLANC C30.  Contact the UCAS Customer Service Unit on 0871 468 0 468 if you are having difficulties completing your application.

Once you have submitted your application via UCAS it will be sent to the University’s Admissions Team. We will consider your application and update UCAS with details of interviews and any decisions, so make sure you keep up to date with your application via UCAS Track.
Be sure to check your emails regularly as UCAS will also contact you with key information and details of any deadlines regarding accepting your offer!

Personal Statements (plagiarism) - Please note that the university operates a strict plagiarism policy, and any application flagged as being plagiarised by UCAS's Similarity Detection Service, is likely to be rejected.

On-Line

UCLan now has an on-line application system through which you can now apply for many of our courses. You can only apply this way if your course is listed here.  If you have found your course and would like to apply, please visit our On-line Application page!

Individuals working for health and social care organisations should initially discuss their application with their employer as arrangements may be in place for financial and study leave support.
