Services provided in the 'i'
The main reception area offers a general information facility covering all aspects of University life. We aim to be the First Point of Contact for most things. If students are unsure where to go or what they need to do next – they can call into The ‘i’ and staff will either answer the query or find out the answer. Alternatively we will work with the student to resolve the problem making use of our web–based services.

These are some of the services we provide:
- Booking of appointments for specialists e.g. careers, counselling, academic advice, Students’ Union Advice Centre
- Council tax enquiries
- Loan payment enquiries
- International student advice including visas
- Help with induction
- Tuition Fee enquiries
- Financial support (ALF/ emergency loans)
- Fresh Start / Returning to Study Advice and Support
- Students’ Union Advice
- Accommodation advice
- M and M Peer Mentoring
Students are only directed to other parts of the University campus for specialist services or where it is appropriate to use their own School Office.
