The LDU carries out a whole variety of functions that benefits the University community. The LDU:

• Is a hub of expertise that enables effective and efficient delivery of learning and teaching
• Equips staff to deal with the changing development needs of students as they progress through the University
• Performs a key role as a catalyst for the training, development and recognition of staff
• Gives external agencies the confidence to invest in UCLan projects and initiatives that promote collaboration
• Incubates innovative and profile-raising projects that enhance the reputation of the University
• Collects critical information and provides vital input for shaping the future of the University, especially where this involves new technologies, pioneering ideas, or government initiatives

We are centrally based in Fylde Building (room 105) so you can call in and discuss your requirements, seek help, or just use our range of PCs to work in peace away from the bustle of your office.
