Benefits of Partnerships

We work with regional, national and international employers and can help the performance of your business in the following ways:

Research
The Futures service welcomes opportunities to discuss research proposals from employers. Recent projects have included looking at the needs and expectations of employers in the creative industries, training need analysis in ICT and recruitment and selection procedures.

Consultancy
Futures staff have a range of skills and experience in careers guidance, careers management and employability issues. We have worked with many different types of organisations to find solutions to problems in these areas.

Student-Based Projects
Live Student Project, one of the career electives that our students can choose to take, offers employers the chance to work with a project team made up of students with a wide range of skills.

With support from UCLan, our students work to the client's brief to find innovative solutions to those business problems that organisations may not have the time to tackle in-house. The briefs are varied but have previously included market research, organising external events, promotional campaigns, business planning and forecasting and web design.

Career Management for Employees
It is increasingly important for employers to retain highly skilled employees who have a clear interest in their own career progression through the company.

The University Certificate in Career Planning is an innovative distance-learning course, which equips employees with the skills they need to take control of their own career management. We are happy to work with employers to tailor this course to meet their specific requirements.

Psychometric Testing
The Futures team can provide advice and information about the use of psychometric testing in the context of graduate recruitment.
