the futures awardEmployers look for more than just a ‘good degree’, it is important to do as much as you can to get ahead of the rest. Why? Because competition levels are high.

Are you going for GOLD?

Stand out from the crowd with the futures award

The futures award will formally recognise your employability and enterprise achievements whilst at UCLan and showcase them to potential employers. By gaining credits for activities in the area of employability and enterprise you can work towards a University Certificate at a bronze, silver, or gold level.

futures award student handbook 2011 - 2012

How can I get involved?

There are several ways that you can gain credit towards the futures award. You may be able to get involved through activities that you are already taking part in through your degree programme; several subject areas have already accredited activities that their students are involved in, so you can get started on your futures journey without having to do too much extra work! If this applies to you, your subject tutor will let you know and you will be invited to register with futures.

Alternatively, you can sign up at the futures hub. Any undergraduate student can take part in futures modules, all you need to do to register is to complete a Student Registration Form and an Employability Development Profile (available from your futures tutor or from the futures hub).
