Westleigh Conference Centre located on Lea Road, Preston, was purchased on October 16th 2007 to replace the UCLan's current Conference and Function Centre at Harris Knowledge Park which was sold in 2006. The redevelopment of Westleigh will be completed in the summer of 2010.

Westleigh Conference Centre will be used primarily as the University’s off campus conference facility for Internal and External conferences to support the Universities Knowledge Transfer Strategy and Research activity by hosting conferences to raise its profile regionally, nationally and internationally.

The redeveloped conference facility will have a large conference / function room seating a maximum of 300 which was originally a “Nuclear Bunker”.
In addition various multiple smaller conference / meeting / syndicate rooms will be available for Internal & External meetings and training providers.
The total maximum daily capacity for meetings / conferences will be 354 delegates.

Westleigh Conference Centre will also have the following facilities:

• Separate dining area with lounge, bar and adjacent facilities to provide off campus functions and dining.
• Breakout spaces – internally and externally to provide relaxed informal teaching and seminar areas.
• The Conference Centre has extensive well established grounds.
• State of the art AV/IT equipment will be installed to support conference and meeting delivery. All rooms in the Conference Centre will be to the Tech Tick standard and the centre will have full wireless coverage.

Westleigh Conference Centre is located 3.3miles from the Preston City Campus.
