UCLan now has a permanent presence in Lagos, Nigeria, in partnership with Global Education Study Centres (GESC). Based in the Global offices, the UCLan representative, Mr Amadi Chukwudi Casmir, will be able to provide ongoing advice and support to any Nigerian students interested in studying at UCLan.

UCLan has a long history of welcoming Nigerian students to the university.  To further assist those Nigerian students who wish to further their studies at the university, we are launching the UCLan West Africa Team, a co-operative office based in the Lagos offices of Global Education Study Centres. By having a focused team with a permanent presence in Lagos, UCLan will be able to offer a comprehensive and personal service to all students every day – offering advice about programme choice; detailing personal experiences of other Nigerian students at UCLan past and present; assistance with the application procedure and offering visa advice.

The UCLan West Africa Team have years of experience in counselling students about their study options and visa applications, and have an excellent success record, and good relations with the UK authorities in Lagos. The Director-General, Mr Mick Howarth, is Preston-based and himself spends long periods in Nigeria.
Amadi Chukwudi Casmir (pictured below, on the right) is the UCLan contact point in the co-operative office and he will be able to assist any UCLan staff members in their work in Nigeria, Cameroon or Ghana. Please direct all enquiries through Alison Denton in the International Office in the first instance (adenton@uclan.ac.uk) or  01772 894408
