Accommodation for International Students
Preston brings together students from different backgrounds and circumstances often forging lifelong friendships. You may be surprised to find a multicultural population, both on campus and in the city. Many of the shops, restaurants, places of worship and festivals reflect this cultural diversity. The cost of living in the Central Lancashire region is generally lower than in many other parts of the UK. All accommodation is self catering and you will find very reasonably priced shops and food outlets on or close to the campus.
Accommodation on campus is generally allocated to encourage students to integrate with others from the UK and from other countries. If you have particular preferences about sharing it is important to make this request early.
When you are made an offer of an academic place at the University of Central Lancashire, the Admissions Office will provide you with information on how to apply for your accommodation.
For the rest of the year, every student will be offered a choice of places to live, which are close to the campus and managed or registered by the University.
The two main types of accommodation are:
University owned accommodation
University registered accommodation
