My research with children and young people includes child welfare, children’s rights and theories of childhood, with a particular focus on children and young people’s participation. I have worked with children in care, young carers, school pupils and members of youth councils, using a range of innovative methods. I am co-director and co-founder of The Centre, which supports children and young people to do their own research. I co-edit the journal Children & Society.
