Develop and update your knowledge and skills whilst ensuring that your continuing professional and personal development needs are met.
Half day workshop
School of Community Health and Midwifery
No Partner College
Friday 10 June 2016 (9am - 12noon)
This course is aimed at any interested party that would benefit from this workshop.
Solution focused interventions offer a chance to have positively orientated conversations with people who are struggling with problems. Rather than reconsidering all the horrible places people have been, this approach helps them to set out what ‘better’ might look like, and how to take small steps that will carry them there.
Who should attend?
Any interested party would benefit from this workshop.
Nick Bohannon is a senior lecturer at UCLan. His teaching focuses on mental health and wellbeing, and solution focused interventions which he uses daily in practice and when supporting students and colleagues.
We have great links with employers including household names such as Sony, BAE Systems and Apple. We also have links with the smaller companies in the region and offer help and assistance to more than 1,000 of these – with many of our graduates staying in the region it is important we develop these relationships.
UCLan is recognised for its outstanding course provision which gives students the skills, knowledge, and personal attributes necessary to succeed at the University and in their future careers. To find out more about the experiences of our students, read our success stories.
