Tuesday 25th April 2017, 1:00-4:00pm
This workshop explores the big questions of ageing – what it is, how it happens and how we think about it. We explore the research around ‘successful ageing’ and how to improve health and wellbeing in later life. In particular we will discover what lifestyle factors have the most impact on ageing and how developing a more positive psychology can help us to age more successfully. We also consider the transitions of later life, such as retirement, becoming a grandparent or carer and how we can build resilience to manage these changes and still live life to the full.
Who should attend:
Nurses, mental health practitioners, general practitioners, heath care assistants and anyone who has an interest in ageing well and helping others to live life to the full.
