Foundation Entry Year

During your Foundation Entry Year you will study alongside peers from related courses, whilst you gain a broad introduction to the basic skills and knowledge required to be a journalist, and the academic study skills required for you to successfully progress onto one of UCLan’s highly regarded undergraduate journalism degrees. You’ll develop the skills needed for a career in multimedia journalism, or within the creative industries and be ready to work in TV, radio, print and online platforms. Our teaching and research are excellent and we have outstanding facilities and provide an exciting university experience, which is why our graduates are prepared for a range of careers. We are currently accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists, the Broadcast Journalism Training Council and the Professional Publishers' Association, and we are highly regarded in industry.
