Users will be guided on how to set up their own code windows before being shown how to code a game of their choice. Once the coding has been done, information and examples on how to create movie files will be given.

Course Outline:
This is part of a week of practical sports analysis workshops.

The workshops have been designed to introduce coaches, performers, parents and teachers to get up and running with some of the most common and freely available performance analysis software. All workshops will give the students an opportunity to get hands on experience of using the performance analysis software.

Facilitator: Carl Cunningham, Demonstrator in coaching analysis and head analyst for Wales Women’s National Squad.

Learning outcome & aims

  • To be able to download and install Longo-Match.
  • To be able to set up a code window.
  • To be able to perform Post-Match Analysis using Longo-Match.
  • To be able to produce video clips to export to players and staff.

We have great links with employers including household names such as Sony, BAE Systems and Apple. We also have links with the smaller companies in the region and offer help and assistance to more than 1,000 of these – with many of our graduates staying in the region it is important we develop these relationships.
