English Language, Literature and Creative Writing

Foundation Entry Year

During your Foundation Entry Year you will study alongside peers from related courses, whilst you gain a broad introduction which will equip you with up-to-date knowledge of your specialism, alongside real-world skills you can use to help you get ahead in the world of work. Staff in the School are recognised as Fellows in the national Higher Education Academy. You’ll also learn from leading experts and guest speakers from the creative industries. Away from the classroom you’ll benefit from the support of our Worldwise Learning Centre, where you can learn another language, apply for a LinGO Travel Award, meet industry experts and participate in many social events. With ELSIE work placements, research internships and field trips there are plenty of opportunities to give your CV a boost. And if you want to study abroad you’ll love our International Travel Bursary scheme and exchange opportunities.
