Entry Requirements:

This workshop is aimed at physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses and other professionals working with rheumatology clients including both experienced practitioners and those who are newly qualified.

Course Content

Course Outline:
This one day workshop will discuss and debate key aspects of assessment, management and rehabilitation of rheumatological conditions.

The day will cover a range of inflammatory and non-inflammatory conditions including; Inflammatory Arthritis, Spondylo-arthropathies including AS, Scleroderma, Myositis and Dermomyositis, Osteoporosis, Fibromyalgia Syndrome/ Chronic pain, Chronic fatigue Syndrome, OA and Hypermobility Syndrome/ EDS

The day will also cover practical elements including key assessments and outcome measures such as BASMI scoring, Beighton score, DAS 28, PsARC, FMS 18 tender points.

• Discuss key elements of assessment in rheumatology

• Discuss approaches to rehabilitation management of patients with rheumatology pathologies
