Architectural Studies

Foundation Entry Year

During your Foundation Entry Year you will study alongside peers from related courses, whilst you gain a broad introduction to architecture, helping you acquire essential architectural design skills, and preparing you for the next stage in your studies. You could progress onto our degrees in architecture or architectural technology, both of which are accredited by the relevant professional and statutory bodies. This balanced course of study has a strong emphasis on design studio work, integrating where appropriate, components from the history and theory of design and technology. You’ll be taught by research-informed specialist staff in the recently refurbished Edward Building, which now contains a large fully equipped design studio and state-of-the-art AV facilities.

For detailed information about studying this course at the University of Central Lancashire, please see the course specification and course handbook for your year of entry: 2016.
