ISZB 2017 is partially supported by COST Action, TD1304.
Zinc-Net : The Network for the Biology of Zinc.
Scientific sessions were proposed and organised by both ISZB and Zinc-Net Committee members. The selection of sessions reflects the large variety of topics that are studied within the framework of Zinc in Biology. This meeting will be the final event for the Zinc-Net COST Action TD1304, showcasing the scientific achievements since the Network was launched in October 2103
The meeting will include: oral presentations within the seventeen symposia, each emphasizing a different theme and chaired by an established investigator in that field. There will student session devoted to short talks selected from the abstracts submitted in this registration website (see abstract submission tab below), representing novel and innovative ideas in the field. There will also be poster sessions. Abstract for posters can also be submitted using the abstract submission tab below.
Please note the following important deadlines:

Location - Venue
The conference will be held at the UCLAN Cyprus campus in Pyla village, on the outskirts of Larnaka, Cyprus. Directions to the university can be found here. A regular bus service is available from Larnaka to the campus in Pyla and vice versa.
The closest airport is the Larnaka International Airport (LCA), which is the main airport of Cyprus and is just a 20 minute drive from the university. There are direct flights to Cyprus from many major European airports.
Cyprus is a historic island with rich natural and cultural beauty. Please visit the Cyprus Tourism Organisation site for more information about what to see and what to do while in Cyprus.
Larnaka is situated on the southern coast of Cyprus, Larnaka is known for its beautiful clean beaches, great food and vibrant nightlife. With the fantastic Mediterranean weather, outdoor leisure activities are very popular. Delegates can take part in water sports, diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking, cycling and many more. The waters of the bay are crystal dear and unusually rich in wrecks for exploring including HMS Cricket, a British helicopter and the Zenovia Ferry. There are many qualified and licensed diving instructors and businesses along the beach areas. In land there are many historic churches, archaeological sites, museums, galleries, gardens and other tourist attractions. The most notable are probably the Larnaka Fort built in 1625 on the seafront, and the 9th century St Lazarus Church close to the Fort.
Natural sites for wildlife and beauty include the Salt Lake on the outskirts of Larnaka, a haven for migratory birds, including flocks of flamingos and other waders. Horse riding nature walks, camel rides and organised excursions are available from Larnaka
Pyla is a quiet village in the Larnaka district situated only a 5 minute drive away from the blue flag awarded CTO beach. When going south towards the sea, you reach the Larnaka-Dhekelia road which hosts many restaurants, pubs, shops and hotels. Being situated in Pyla gives you easy access to Larnaka on the one side and Ayia Napa to the other. The highway is also very near to Pyla, providing access to any town you wish to visit in Cyprus. Ayia Napa lies east from Pyla and is very famous for its sandy beaches, clear blue waters and of course, its vibrant night life in the summer season. Ayla Napa also hosts many restaurants, featuring local and international Cuisine
