Training and development

The UpSkilling Lancashire project is part-funded by the European Social Fund and provides support to employers to increase the skills and capabilities of their workforce.

This includes identifying skills gaps and training needs, providing a range of solutions including innovative projects linked to capacity building, work placements, degree apprenticeships and identifying appropriate training and skills support.

How will it benefit my business?

What will it involve?

A member of our project team will visit your business to discuss your business plans and objectives. They will support the business by identifying workforce training such as workshops and courses, and upskilling opportunities such as degree apprenticeships. They will make referrals to one of its partner organisations as appropriate and also refer to other skills related projects and business support agencies.  

Project partners

The project partnership is led by the University of Central Lancashire, working with Burnley College, Calico Group, Edge Hill University, Lancaster & Morecambe College, Myerscough College and Preston’s College.

Eligibility

The UpSkilling Lancashire project works with businesses based in Lancashire, employing 250 employees or less and showing either an annual turnover that is equal to or less than 50million Euros or a balance sheet total that is equal to or less than 43million Euros.
