Commemorating Abolition

This website is a celebration of the abolition of the slave trade in Britain to be commemorated in 2007. Many artists have been inspired by the terrible history of slavery, and by the fight to bring it to an end, and some of their work is shown here. Also there are resources for scholars of all ages on the history of slavery and its impact in all the countries involved.
