Student Accommodation

  • apply to live at uclan

The way in which you apply for UCLan accommodation is dependent on the your UCLan course application and the year you are joining. It is important that you use the correct process to ensure your application progresses as smoothly as possible.

NEW UK, EU AND EXCHANGE STUDENTS

You have applied to UCLan - UCLan is your firm choice university

  • If you have a firm offer of a place on a UCLan course the University will contact you towards the end of March onwards with your student ID number to enable you to apply online. Apply as soon as possible after you receive this.
  • You may be required to provide details of a guarantor during the application process, more information can be found on the application welcome page here
  • You should apply for either UCLan owned and leased accommodation OR University Registered Private accommodation, applying for both types may delay the application process.
  • Rooms are offered on a first come, first served basis, choose from standard or en-suite, and enter any specific preference in the additional notes section. We will do our best to match your requirements subject to availability at the time of allocation
  • When you apply you may be required to provide guarantor details, please ensure you have that person’s permission
  • If we send you an offer for UCLan accommodation, you will be asked to pay at least £250 as a reservation fee/pre-payment. Full details of instalments and reservation fees can be found here. If you do not have a guarantor, we require accommodation fees to be paid in full
  • US exchange students on the isep program and from CCSU are NOT required to make any payment to UCLan as these are part of the exchange agreement and therefore do not need a guarantor. You should choose the appropriately named student type when first applying
  • Students whose accommodation fees will be paid by a third party, i.e. Sponsor, Local authority, Trust etc. should choose the Sponsored/Third party student type when first applying and will not be asked to provide a guarantor
